SR SQL DEVELOPER

The SQL Developer you will be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of our SQL Server databases in Azure. You will be working to proactively make changes to meet the growing needs of the business. If you have a strong understanding of T- SQL development, performance optimization, best practices, and support data-driven decision- making. Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience as T-SQL developer.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL programming and database management, including query optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server in Azure and its core components, including database design, query optimization, indexing, and partitioning.
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts and techniques.
• Experience with ETL processes, tools, and knowledge of SSIS.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automating database tasks.
• Must have a proven ability to design and optimize large, complex DB schemas.
• Extensive experience in creating and maintaining tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, TSQL, dynamic SQL, indexes, and data constraints.
• Expertise in Database Architecture in an environment that handles large volume of data.
• Must possess expert troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Must have ability to decipher, refactor and simplify complex T-SQL
• Must understand the concept of legacy code restrictions but seeking alternate solutions and improving existing processes.
• Must be able to dig in and understand the business needs & requirements and translate that into the most efficient approach to solve the problem.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement efficient and scalable T-SQL Code.
• Perform database tuning and optimization to maximize performance.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize queries and improve overall system performance.
• Conduct regular performance analysis and make recommendations for improvements.
• Review latest trends and technologies in database engineering and propose innovative solutions to enhance our systems.
• Work closely with IT support to identify and remove bottlenecks in the system while maintaining existing application functionality.
• Participate in on-call rotation for production database support for issues related to development.
• Other duties as assigned.
