We are seeking a detail-oriented Transcriptionist responsible for transcribing audio and video recordings into written documents. Candidates must possess excellent listening and typing skills, along with a strong command of the English language. The role requires working independently and managing time effectively to meet strict deadlines.

Transcriptionist Responsibilities

• Transcribe English audio and video recordings accurately and efficiently.
• Review transcriptions for accuracy and clarity.
• Ensure transcriptions are formatted according to company standards.
• Research and verify names, terms, and other information as needed.
• Complete transcriptions within agreed-upon deadlines.
• Communicate with clients and team members to clarify instructions or resolve issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all transcriptions and related materials.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Educational background

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the localization industry.

Professional background

• 1+ years’ experience working in English transcription projects.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office and automatic speech recognition (ASR) technology

Salary base range for this position is between $10 and $13 per hour, dependent upon experience.
